AptSoft Customers Illustrate Diverse Market for Event Processing Software

An emerging technology, which IDC calls event processing and correlation (EPC) software, will become increasingly important as a way to find sequences of events that identify risks and opportunities. EPC software is a key building block of real-time sense-and-respond systems used by enterprises to speed up and improve their decision-making capabilities.

This study examines how four organizations are using EPC software from AptSoft. From these conversations, we found much broader use of this technology than anticipated and selection criteria more sophisticated than simply looking for engines with the fastest processing speeds. These customers also wanted a solution that could be used by a business analyst without IT involvement and without requiring SQL skills. Read the report.
