Dr. John Bates is the author of the recent book “Thingalytics: Smart Big Data Analytics for the Internet of Things”. Wall Street and Technology magazine named John one of the “Innovators of the Decade” and Institutional Investor lists him as one of the “Tech 50” most influential technologists.
John is CEO of Internet of Things leader PLAT.ONE. Previously, John was Founder, President and CTO of ‘Apama’, a leader in streaming analytics and CEP. He has also served in CTO and GM roles at Progress Software and Software AG and was until recently CMO & head of Industry (including IoT) at Software AG. John is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
