All businesses are event-driven – and so is the entire world! Event-Driven SOA addresses all the capabilities needed to respond to the real-time business dynamics outlined above. Event-Driven SOA combines SOA’s request-response and EDA’s (Event-Driven Architecture) event publish-subscribe paradigms. Supporting events as services within SOA allows designers to map the application design to the business problem, which typically consists of both events and requests/responses.
